University of La Verne SBDC
In 2014, I launched the opening of the University of La Verne SBDC program in partnership with the University of La Verne, the U.S. Small Business Administration and variety of other community stakeholder who support small business. The launch involved located and renovating space, setting up the accounting, implementing and negotiating contracts and developing a marketing plan for the center (social media, website, and email marketing).
After the initial launch, I worked to build the center by hiring a team of students, staff and business consultants to expand the services and reach of the center into the business community. I worked with community stakeholders throughout the San Gabriel Valley at various levels of government (Federal, State, County, City) and countless economic development organizations and chambers.
I was able to grow the center through federal, state and local funding sources.
